Your right on Mr Bruce, I've read contantant complaints of the good old boy system and things never changeing and they all may be right but thats because people are looking at the wrong things in those thet want to run things. When politians becomed seasoned they are so far removed from just being people that they become intuned with the accepted concept of ignoring the voices of the community especially the ones who don't agree with them. This is actually taught by the incumbents to anyone new coming into the system.

For those who want things different, the last person you want in office is one who has been their before under the current conditions you want changed. i.e. the tea party candidates and the change that results. Non establishment candidates that fit's the bill. The governmental system is set up so nobody has to be experienced in anything to run a town, state, or country. The mayors job has all the resources needed in legal, accounting, and system operations that just leaves a candidate the need to be of good character to run properly.

Wrestlers have successfully run states and house mothers have successfully run towns.

Having said this if people want the same then vote the same, if you want the possibility of improvements and change the vote differently.

From what I see Danny Stewart seems to offer the greatest possibility of positive change and is also one of us, a positive community volunteer guy that can sit with us at Mr Gatti's on Friday nite and listen and understand what us normal people need in a town.

Vote for who you want this town to be.

That's the way I look at it.

Peace :)

I cannot even read the first part of your post it's so bad in terms of writing.

Liberty - why aren't you ranting about the State Senate changing the law so Mitch can appoint a Secretary of State? To change the law, with two weeks to go in the legislative session is borderline treason. And they want us to believe they are all about open government? Balderdash.

Indiana law says the next top vote getter would take the position. Instead, Republicans, who control the state, decided to change the law. I noticed this hasn't even been a bleep of a story. I sure hope they know how many educated people are paying attention to what they are doing when they think no one is looking.

I also noticed the county chairman of this county was a big supporter of Charlie White. And, shunned Senator Lugar when he was in town in March. And, is driving around with a Mourdock bumpersticker. Better hope he doesn't turn out to be a fraud, too.

Danny, Liberty may get people riled up on here, but he isn't going to get you any votes. Check out how many people are turned off by the lunatic.

Oh, and for the 1,000th time, you+are is you're. As in you're too arrogant or you're too stupid to figure this out.

Take a "piece" of advice:
Be careful who you mouth off to on here from time to time. It could come back to get your (notice usage) buddies running for office.

Reality's booger, You are being very mean to me and calling me school rank names like stupid is sad. I don't care about your politics but I do care that you are allowed to be around children. That's what worry's me. The way teachers talk and act towards people on here is exactly how they treat their students in the class room. You need to quit. You have no business in a class room and the union you cling to may protect you but some day you'll get caught. If you quit before then some children will be spared. You don't represent teachers that I know and are the reason parents are beginning to see how those like you are a threat to their children. My guess is your employed at West. Hopefully you will be one of those weeded out by the new law and then you can find a job that your good at and be a much happier boy and treat people less hatful.

I have only the best wishes for you but you have no business around children.

Thanks for providing illustration.

Peace :)

Brian, I think it is time to pull the plug on people who use this site to malign, threaten, and degrade tose with opposing views. Having a discussion over differences of opinion is one thing. Being mean-spirited and attacking the character of others under the banner of free speech is not keeping in the spirit of an open community forum. It is time to take the reins and tighten up the rules for participation.

Mayoral Debate 2011

Is anybody going to step up and sponsor one?!
The northern morgan county taxpayers association sponsored several debates in the Mooresville area in the past for sheriff, school board, town board and trustees. Don't you guys in Martinsville have a similar group? Whatever happened to the group called the Refounders? This would be right up their alley

Wake up! The others can't debate against Phil and they know it. I would pay money to watch them try. In fact I bet many would love to see that and would be willing to pay for the opportunity. Maybe money could go to new playground equipment at city park.

NI, Brian should not now or ever sensor anyone. If you have a problem with some of the junk written on here, don't read it. I seldom read any of Liberty's post. I find school unions of little interest. Maybe you could do the same.
