| Lassiter Wednesday, April 20, 2011: 4:16 pm More from Lassiter | Soo flowergirl. You say that whether you are a friend of the recipient of the taxpayer teat makes a difference??? How can a kid get in trouble 60 times in school and not get red-flagged? The system is broken. How many people did he tell he was going to do this that did not care enough to stop it? The culture is broken. My confidence that this same broken system and broken culture can make him an upstanding citizen? zero. |
| A Hoosier Wednesday, April 20, 2011: 8:02 pm More from A Hoosier | Unbelievable, talking about taxes. Since you brought it up, welfare for the poor should be the least of your worries. 700 billion is being spent by the military. Federal tax revenue collected 2.4 trillion. Do the math. 500 billion for Medicare, 400 billion on social security. Stop killing women, children, and unarmed civilians in other countries, and save a dollar. |
| A Hoosier Wednesday, April 20, 2011: 8:05 pm More from A Hoosier | Btw, we are currently fighting in 4 countries. Can you name them? |
| Lassiter Wednesday, April 20, 2011: 10:35 pm More from Lassiter |
There has been nothing said here about welfare for the poor.
The story was not about the military, medicare or social security. Off topic.
I can agree with that statement. Its a shame the young man we are talking about doesn't try to kill unarmed civilian children. |
| A Hoosier Wednesday, April 20, 2011: 10:57 pm More from A Hoosier | Contradicting yourself, Lass. You should go back and read your own post. Lost interest when...the state will pay. Can you name those four countries? You comment is a sad example of your empathy for humanity. And you call yourself a Christian, very sad. |
| A Hoosier Wednesday, April 20, 2011: 11:34 pm More from A Hoosier | If one person kills another person that is murder, when a government kills a 100000 people that is patriotism. Howard Zinn |
| Lassiter Thursday, April 21, 2011: 12:10 am More from Lassiter | No contradiction. I lose interest when I hear an attorney asked "Where will the money come from" Attorney responds "The State will pay for it" There is no reference their to either poor people or welfare. This statement is in reference to the correctional system. Welfare is a different topic. 4 countries? Who cares 4 too many. Guantanamo is still open to but thats not got anything to do with this story. Your comment is a sad example of somebody going way out in left field off topic to pick a quarrel with someone elses opinion. My empathy gland is fine thank you. I happened to feel much more empathy for Chance Jackson than I feel for his attacker. Peace :) |
| A Hoosier Thursday, April 21, 2011: 12:36 am More from A Hoosier | Nice try, Lassiter. Your intent is clear. "A shame he wasn't try to kill unarmed civilian children. " "Oh well, the taxpayer will pay for it." Back peddling. |
| A Hoosier Thursday, April 21, 2011: 12:38 am More from A Hoosier | You should care where killing is happening with your dollar, in your name. You should care alot. |
| Lassiter Thursday, April 21, 2011: 12:48 am More from Lassiter | I'm not backpeddling. You are lying when you quote me. I did not write those things. You changed them. You are the attacker here for no good reason. |
| Danny Stewart Thursday, April 21, 2011: 8:48 am More from Danny Stewart | Hoosier, A while back you made a comment saying people join the military because of propoganda reasons. I can assure you that I did not join the military on my 17th birthday because of propaganda reasons. I did it because it is tradition in my family going back to at least the Civil War. You are free to have your own opinions about the military, however, I can also say that everyone that has ever been in the military has had their own reasons for doing so and for you to say we only did it because of propoganda is at best somewhere out in left field. |
