Back in 2008, there were those on this blog who said that government help wasn't needed, even not wanted. "we can take care of our own" was frequently mentioned.

Among dozens, if not hundreds, of "disasters" each year, FEMA has to decide which to address and which to not address. I know we could have used the help, but it probably didn't rise to the level of other disasters.

WOW! I was nearly taken aback when I read the word "Denial". I can't imagine people have the nerve to apply for federal assistance in disaster relief when there is a...disaster! How dare they!

$4 per gallon gasoline, soaring deficit, rising utility costs, throw in a vision of the soon to be poor standard of living and I think paradise!

The United States, it's representative's, the public, and it's agenda has become too complacent.

The federal government gave $2billion dollars to the former president of Egypt (Mumbarak) in military aid! Meanwhile the citizenry suffers from such ignorance!
