Smile, you’re on BMV camera

Last year I needed to renew my license & decided to go ahead & do so when I took my daughter to the BMV to get her permit. This happened to be on a Saturday morning & my daughter asked me to take her with no prior warning. I had not yet showered or put any makeup on, and I had brushed my hair but it didn't look as neat as usual. My makeup usually includes drawn on eyebrows that I think look awful, which is the reason I have bangs to cover them up. The clerk proceeded to tell me that you can't have any hair below your eyebrows so I had to move my bangs off of my forehead. I then proceeded to tell her that I didn't have any eyebrows and asked her how she knew my bangs were too long. I then moved part of my bangs to each side so that they were pretty much parted in the middle. The clerk also informed me that you can't smile. She took 2 pictures and each time I had to move my bangs even more because the camera wouldn't "accept" the image. I was so frustrated that in the picture I ended up with my hair seriously looks like I just rolled out of bed, my eyes are open wide like a psycho person, and my lips are pursed because I was holding back a few choice words that were dying to roll off of my tongue. Yep, that's what I get for trying to renew it early & take care of it while already there...major embarassment every time I have to show my ID now. And my husband just loooooves teasing me about it. It looks a picture of Spanky from The Little Rascals, just with long hair. |
