After-school gatherings concern Central neighbors

It hurts me to tell him no all of the time because I fear the number of teenagers that are there and what they will teach my children. We stopped once and there was underage smoking, more curse words than I have heard in a year, and indecent behavior. It is sad that I cannot take my children to play there. The school playgrounds have always been in better shape than the park playgrounds. |

Some of my favorite memories growing up were spent on the school playground playing basketball and sometimes playing late into the night.. The ages ranged from 12 to adulthood. It was a great time. At times we were loud and fought, you better believe it but it was fun and built great friendships. In a day were to many kids and adults stay inside lets encourage them to get out and play. if they have drugs thats one thing but dont assume because they are teenagers that they do. Drugs, sex and urinating dont belong on school property. As we know teens do stupid stuff at times. An occasional curse word can get a pass. You bought your house and what happens on that property is yours to control, we all paid for the school and it should be used for all, and used fairly. Lets encourage the games discourage the bad and let the young adults grow up with the same opportunities we had on the playground. |
