I can't stop crying after reading this. It's just unreal what he & his family have been through & none of us can even imagine the shock, pain & drastic life changes this has brought for them. He's obviously a tough kid for a reason though. I hope & pray he is able to live as normal a life as possible after this & participate in any physical activity he wants to. Please everyone, keep praying for him & his entire family.

Isn't there a state crime victim fund that will help them with expenses? I am so happy that he survived and is on the mend. He sounds like a very special kid to fight his way back through this and have such a good attitude. God bless him.

@Ledge No, it would need to be litigated to assume fault/liability.

Let's change the situation, two people get into a verbal altercation in the parking lot of a local restaurant/business and a shooting occurs between the two parties. Would the restaurant/business be liable? Not likely. You would need to demonstrate that the restaurant/business played a role in the shooting.
