REALLY, all the complaining about the turf is getting REALLY old. Its been stated over and over the funds used for the turf HAD to be used to update the grounds of the school. Heaven forbid the kids of Martinsville have ONE nice up-to-date facility! Cheer Cheer for ole' Martisnville......

Cheer, Cheer for Ole'Martinsville, they never won one, and they never will! At least not while small town politics dictate who will make the team and who will play! The Martinsville football program has never brought home a state championship! Why don't you put the money toward sports that we do win championships in, like girls golf (11 championships) and girls volleyball, basketball, and softball (2 championships each). NO, NO, in Martinsville it is either Football or Basketball (neither one are we any good at) that gets all the funding and attention.

We should vote to change the school motto to "Martinsville High School - Rewarding Mediocrity for Generations".....If you are talking about state championships that do not get recognition, how about the Academic Decathlon team?? I know they are not considered a sport but they receive no money and have more state titles than probably all sports programs combined.

YsopsOp....I am sorry I did leave out the Academic Decathlon team. They have done a great job and it is sad that the school does not help with funding.
