Maybe IU will get some competent Drs down here! Too bad they let the best ones, Dianna Boyer & Tom Lahr, get away. |

| driver Friday, August 26, 2011: 11:28 am More from driver | I know Dr. Polar personally and he is a great doctor and great employee at I.U. Morgan Hospital. He is very friendly and truely cares about his patients. Thanks to some of the staff that has left the hospital and went to St. Francis for dragging our Doctors through the mudd. Obviously the citizens that are supporting St. Francis coming to town they don't want a local hospital with good doctors anymore. Just what we need is another building sitting empty, more people out of jobs and houses going in foreclosure, and your property values going down. All because Dr. Boyer doesn't want to care for her patients in the hospital. I work for a great Hospital; I.U. Health Morgan Hospital. We are standing behind you Dr. Polar. |

| coltsfan Friday, August 26, 2011: 12:47 pm More from coltsfan | If my doctor couldnt pass the exam i dont think I would trust him/her with my care or the care of my children. Something is seriously wrong with this picture! Im sure he's a nice, caring man, but lets be realistic~he isnt qualified to do the job! |

I agree. It appears to me that this board action was simply a parting dirty trick by Dr. Boyer against her partner Dr. Polar as she prepares to set up business across town. Interesting that she apparently didn't have any complaints about Dr. Polar as she served in her position of Chief of Medicine at IU Health Morgan Hospital. We all support Dr. Polar and give him a vote of confidence. |

| Ratcatcher Saturday, August 27, 2011: 9:47 am More from Ratcatcher | without the person being accused being given a chance to defend himself. I'm sure Dr. Polar can afford to pay the online subscription fee and come on this comment section and defend himself (just like the Mayor does.) These comments about a doctor, beyond the ability of the accused to defend himself, are inappropriate and do not belong in the paper I'm also quite sure the paper would be more than happy to print a letter to the editor from Dr. Polar in a future issue where he can explain his inability to pass the board exams among other things. |

| Ratcatcher Saturday, August 27, 2011: 5:05 pm More from Ratcatcher | A lot more people read the local paper than ever go down to the courthouse and watch legal proceedings or request copies of rulings from courts. What better way for the doctor to get his side of the story out to his customers than the local paper? I think the paper is a perfect forum. Why do you feel it is ok for the paper to print accusations against politicians but not ok to print accusations against a doctor? Are you more concerned about a politician being corrupt or mismanaging your tax dollars than you are about having a subpar medical professional managing your life and health? |

"Nobody important"-I guess not. Tomato, toe-mott-toe. You obviously and probably intentionally missed the point with your little definition game. Definition of slander in Legal Dictionary at Webster-dictionary.org: Slander- The defaming a man in his reputation by speaking or writing words which affect his life, office, or trade...etc. Note also that those posting should read the Reporter-Times terms of use regarding the posting of damaging comments about individuals. |
| smltwn Saturday, August 27, 2011: 5:26 pm More from smltwn | Ok, Let me be very clear, because it seems as if I hit a nerve with someone. My previous comment about Dr.Polar was based on my own observasion, and is strickly my opinion in which I am entitled.I didn't ask for anyone to agree and maybe I worded it incorrectly, but it is how I personally feel. |
