| sampson Sunday, September 18, 2011: 3:28 pm More from sampson | I don't really want to take sides. I don't know anyone involved, so maybe I can be a bit impartial. Often in companies when and employee has put in some time, the companies allow the person to make restitution without charging the employee. I don't know if this is good or not, but I am sure that people in decision making positions think things through. When someone embezzles, generally it is for some type of addiction...lottery...drugs...etc. etc...and the person maybe had done it before, but paid it back...then took some more and at some point it got out of control. The person probably was relieved when she was caught. If you have not been through this, you may not want to believe it or you may not understand. I've seen people embezzle for baseball cards, prostitutes, drug addiction, and gambling problems. It becomes an illness. None of this makes it right, but just wanted offer something without name calling. Wish everyone the best in the future. |
