I'm not necessarily saying I am a supporter of his, but check out Herman Cain's 999 Tax Plan. 9% tax rate on income, corporations and national sales tax. A flat tax (whatever the decided rate) could work.

Currently, the top 1% of wage earners (very, very rich) already pay 38% of our taxes. The top 10% of wage earners pay 71% of our nation's taxes. Worse yet, 49% of Americans do not pay income taxes at all. Instead of over taxing the rich (who are business owners & employers who already pay excessive corporate taxes) we should have everyone eligible pull their own weight.
