Artesians stop Rebels
read more recent story comments Reader comments| Danny Stewart Saturday, October 1, 2011: 11:39 am More from Danny Stewart | This was an excelllent game. Of course #45 stepped up again with three more sacks. #s 26 and 40 also deserve recognition as well for their outstanding efforts. the offense was a little iffy but they stepped up enough to get the job done on the scoreboard. Now, I'd like to ask that everyone say a prayer for the Rebels #4. He appeared to be their star receiver. Unfortunately, he was injured in the game and had to leave by way of ambulance. Not sure what happened to him. Maybe a concussion? Either way, we like to see the kids play the game and watch our boys win them, but not for anyone to get seriously hurt. So let's hope this young man will recover fully from his injury and be able to continue to play the game. |

QBs sometimes get a lot of glory but they also get most of the blame when things go wrong. That kid stepped in as a Freshman and helped lead this team to 3 straight winning seasons...and hopefully a fourth. |
| artiefan Saturday, October 1, 2011: 7:33 pm More from artiefan | Sorry, two straight winning seasons & a Conference Championship. |
| Danny Stewart Sunday, October 2, 2011: 7:17 am More from Danny Stewart | I should also add that the play of the game had to be the defense stopping the two point conversion that Roncoli tried to make. Artiefan, I agree. Let's hope #12 can lead the team to another conference championship and maybe even a sectional championship as well. |
| artiefan Sunday, October 2, 2011: 9:22 am More from artiefan | Danny, With Decatur beating Greenwood, the conf. championship will be tough. Nothing would be better than if this team kept rolling right through the sectional. Everyone says that CG is in our way, but this team is capable if they are firing on all cylinders. Martinsvie hasn't won a sectional game in a long time, and I really think this is the group to change that. That said, we have to take care of business at Lucas Oil Saturday. The Defense will face another running attack, and they have really stepped up. Let's make it #4 against the Pioneers this week! |
| Amy Sunday, October 2, 2011: 9:49 am More from Amy | I believe the Artesians had offsides not false start on that two point since they were on defense. Great game Arties! |
| Danny Stewart Sunday, October 2, 2011: 10:27 am More from Danny Stewart | Artiefan, let's hope they do it. Unfortunately, I won't be able to attend the game on Saturday. |
| artiefan Sunday, October 2, 2011: 8:14 pm More from artiefan | Danny, sorry you can't make it. I'll cheer twice as loud for you. Go Arties! |
| sampson Monday, October 3, 2011: 1:27 am More from sampson | Nice to see the boys win a close one...a few different bounces and this team would be 7-0. I hope they get to see one of those team from the first 4 losses in the sectional. |
| arties14 Tuesday, October 4, 2011: 2:42 pm More from arties14 | It has been great to see so many players stepping up in place of those injured players! Great job Arties!! Keep up the hard work. We are all pulling for you! |
