If mayor Deckard would have work this hard the entire time he has been in office Martinsville would not be in the shape it's in. Amazing what happens during election time. We should have an election every year!

It amazes me how people Judge others when they have no idea what there talking about. Mayor Deckard has worked his butt off for this city. You have no idea how much of a clean up he had to do since our last Mayor. So please if you no nothing about running a city don't judge. 4 More years Mayor Deckard, I know there are tons of great things that are going to happen WOOHOO!!!!

I'm proud of our mayor. Finalized projects don't happen overnight. Consider the first days in office were spent undoing some shenanigans that were left by the past administration with keyboard keys and phone lines. Think of the endless hours that were spent working with flood relief efforts with our citizens, FEMA, state and local agencies. There were the negotiations of the new fire department's faulty construction that the mayor inherited. Now the administration is looking outside the box in the creation of the TIF districts and annexations. There's suggested growth plans for Grand Valley. The streets, sidewalks and infrastructure are improved over what they were four years ago. What an honor for our community to become home to two new business relocations.
