I'm probably gpoing to be verbally castrated for this post. But I would like to remind those who like to rank crimes and apply punishments based on the rank that it is foolishness and certainly not an indicator of political bent.

In our eyes, we hold up certain crimes as appalling and beneath human understanding. Others, we see as not so serious and we are willing to give second chances and maybe more.

The God that I know, the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, doesn't rank crimes (sins). All sin separates man from Him. So in that light, the sins of pride, arrogance, gossip, lying, etc. are just as serious as the ones we put high on our list. So who are we to look down our sinful noses at others?

Amen

Yea lets kill em.Then lets start killing drunk drivers.Thats who killed my relitives.
Then mabey lets kill shop lifters they hurt us all.Lock em up yea.If you kill a person for being sick then you may have to kill a lot of people.

We kill rabid dogs, chimps that mutilate people and pet snakes that eat babies. We don't lock them up for in the pound and feed them 'til they die a natural death. Man is an animal. Why not treat him the way we treat other mammals?

I do not know what the answer is Ratcatcher. It starts by the way some raise there children. One little comment by someone a child looks up to can change a childs life for the better or the worse.Genes have something to do with it to.How can 1 kid raised in the same household turn out to be a great person and another turn out to be a criminal?

Rod, President John Adams had two sons who turned out completely different, one became president, the other died from VD. Thought you might find that interesting.

I've seen that situation many times. I lost a friend a few years ago that had 2 sons. One did everything he possibly could to do his Dad right during the tough times and has become a phenomenal success. His brother was busy stealing his dying fathers medications and the most success he has had in life is his ability to OD. To the good brothers credit he bears only love and prayers for his wayward sibling.

as far as right answer, there is none. At least that anybody has thought up yet.

To Lassiter and others who have given an opinion about two being different. Maybe one child was treated different than the other. One could have been his/her father or mother's favorite and the other one knew it. The good one could have been praised no matter what he/she did but the other one couldn't do anything right. I have seen this in families. Children should all be treated the same. This is one way you have one go the right path and the other one goes down the wrong road.
