The poor don't pay taxes? In what fantasy land? Income is taxed no matter how minuscule the amount.

Semantics, my dear Hoosier.
Of course payroll taxes are taken out on everyone. Duh. We all know that. But the poor get back every dime they pay in and then some in most cases when they file their taxes every year thus making their EFFECTIVE tax rate zero or less. But don't take my word for it. Ask any tax preparer and they will tell you.

State and local income tax is NOT refunded to anyone without deductions, see your taxpayer.

It is still refunded which means they don't pay taxes.
Most of the time the deduction is in the form of babies and that usually means they get back MORE than they paid in. This in effect means the government is rewarding people to have kids they can't afford. Then the government pays their medicaid and food stamps and free school lunches.

Rat, when I read your post, it is painfully obvious to me how incredibly angry and hateful you are. If you think you are getting into the Father's house with that ugly heart of yours, guess again. Love thy neighbor, ever heard of it?

Anyway, your rhetoric, as always, is boring.

If my comments were so boring you wouldn't respond.

I would never presume to tell you or anyone else who is getting into the Father's house. That isn't the job of a mere human like us. Try looking that one up.

I do love my neighbors. The Jews and the Israelis are my favorites since God warns us what will happen if we don't support his chosen people. Ever heard of them or are you too busy trying to help the Palestinians take away what He gave them many years ago?

IMO I believe antisemitism comes from an ugly heart.

Catch your collective breath Hoosier and Ratcatcher. I don't know how this thread evolved to Israel and the promised land, but since the door has been opened..... The land God promised to Abram's descendents is much larger than the tiny strip of land we know today as Israel. Most Biblical scholars and historians agree that it extends from the Red sea on the south, west to the Mediterranean Sea to the Euphrates River on the north, then South along the Jordan River back to the Red Sea. Touching parts of several countries and including all of what is now Syria and Lebanon, the land was inhabited primarily by the Hebrew nation for over 3500 years until mid first century after Christ. The Jews were scattered until 1948 when Israel gained recognition as a Jewish soverign nation, but only for a portion of what was the original landscape of the promised land.

In the end times, the nations of the world, including apparently, the United States, will come against Israel and without the Israelis firing a shot at the Battle of Armaggeden, Jesus will defeat the vast armies, again without firing a shot. Some people try to understand what seems an impossible and highly improbable set of events and just can't imagine how all of that can occur. The terms used in describing the end were common to 8th century BC to 1st century AD prophets and apostles. The scenes in their visions were like our dreams, comprised of things common to our experiences and understanding.

What I know is this. It does not matter whether or not the United States is for or against the Israel of today. What does matter is the heart condition of each person. If a person believes in God, accepts Jesus as Lord and Savior, and walks out his or her salvation through obedience to God's will, that person will spend eternity in peace with God. God has it under control. He is letting us have our way and watching to see what we do with it. He waits, but the question is, how long?
