This is proven by the "need" to have hate groups to join. Most white people get up and go to work or school every day with the thought of race never even crossing their mind. What bothers me about the black community is typically it's the opposite with them. Race is included practically everything they do. This is why there is little need for them to join groups to get there agenda across. They go to church on Sunday and rally every week. I so wish we could ALL become color blind. I so wish race could be removed from our culture. So much wasted energy spent every day, worrying about the color of someones skin. Really sad |

So then they shouldn't be allowed to join any other fraternal organization like the Mason's FOP American Legion VFW? The Klan and expecially the UNSK is a Fraternal Patriotic Christian organization as you will see as the series continues. I hope that maybe some people after reading these stories will actually learn to form an opinion for themsleves based on what they themselves have researched and learned not based on what they have been told by school or most major media outlets over the years. So that they can have a better understanding of the Klan and what it stands for and is really about wheather they agree or disagree like or dislike the Klan doesn't so much matter. That they came to that like or dislike based on their own and not from what others tells them is what is important. |

However, if the klan is a Christian organization, then I have just been elected the Pope. While their are other secret societies such as the Masons, which the American Legion nor the VFW are among these groups, I have yet to see any group other than the klan that wants to hide their identities by wearing masks or hoods over their faces. Many Freemasons proudly admit they are Masons in open public. And neither of the afore mentioned groups has ever had a history that I am aware of that has shown racial hatred in such an open manner as the klan. |

From my understanding, the judge did not make any ruling concerning free speech. The judge decided that the physical make-up of newsprint, wood fiber, was a natural, disolvable matter and not "trash" or "refuse". This same method of reasoning is why TP'ing (toilet papering" trees during Halloween is not considered vandalism...it is "legally" a fleeting suisance. I don't agree with Judge Peden's ruling, but we've elected him to oversee such matters and I accept it. Regardless of this outcome, or subsequent legal wrangling that may occur in the future because of it, I still believe issuing the citation was the right thing to do and important for Martinsville as a community. |

Free speech is not limited to what comes out of your mouth. You as a police officer should know this since it is your job to uphold the law. This includes the Constitution, which is the highest law document we have. I recommend reading the Ferealist Papers. These will give you a better understanding of what free speech really is. As well as reading the Constitution. Yes, the crusader is absolute garbage, however, it is protected free speech. I don't like it anymore than anyone else does, but you as a cop are setting a bad example by not understanding what free speech is. There is not anything written anywhere that says you have to like it, but you do have to allow it. And you being a sop are obligated to protect it. |

Trust me, few understand, use or misuse free speech more than I. I don't need your suggestions on reading. I'd venture a guess that I've vested more time in reading the actual works (not the Cliff Notes version or Google snipets as many who like to preach can actually claim) than most, including you. I'll try to dumb down my previous post so even you will have a better chance of perceiving the message. The R-T stated Judge Peden made a judgement (decision) in this case regarding free speech. He did not. He chose to address the legal definition of "litter" and ruled that, since the rag was made of paper (paper comes from wood, you of all people should know this) and is a vegetable matter that will readily decompose. As such, the publication, that is in my opinion, unfit for lowly fish-wrapping, is outside the scope of the legal definition of "trash" or "refuse". Any chance you caught any of that? I fully support free speech, and freedom of the press. I do not support being permitted to unvitedly depositing anyting on another's private property without their permission. Get it? By the way, I still believe the, in my opinion, idiot delivering this waste of ink, committed littering. Judge Peden does not. Judge Peden wins. As far as setting a bad example, as I've told you in the past, I'll gladly put my record against your's anytime, any catagory. Now, please get to bed...your route begins early tomorrow. |
