| proud redneck Wednesday, January 4, 2012: 5:06 pm More from proud redneck | this gonna cost the taxes payers a ton of money of the illegal actions done by the so wonderful police and prosecutors office and we are broke enough now without them making bone headed moves they know are covered in the constitution what idiots no wonder so many people don't trust the police and judicial system anymore |
| version Wednesday, January 4, 2012: 5:28 pm More from version | They probably don't trust the police because they read your last several post. You know especially the one where you stated "we are your police officers." lol come on now!! |
| Rod1 Wednesday, January 4, 2012: 9:03 pm More from Rod1 | I hate to say it but hes right.I get fliers on my porch often from churches and boy-scouts or school groups.Have not heard of them getting cited for littering. The klan has a right to free speech even if you don't like the message. It was BS what the cops did.We all have a right to speak. The ACLU would not of picked it up if it did not have merit. |
| proud redneck Wednesday, January 4, 2012: 10:41 pm More from proud redneck | version if ya don't think there are police and judges among other high up's in the klan then you are blind to the real truth out in the world we live in do some research on it you will see all threw history about them being in the empire and they continue to join to this day and we welcome them with open arms... but there are also corrupt cops also and those are the ones that people do not trust and makes people not like any cops because of the ones that are corrupt people may try turn there heads on it but yes even in Martinsville we have corrupt police officers and lawyers and judges |
| version Thursday, January 5, 2012: 12:02 am More from version | I know they have this right. However you have a high ranking officer that has plenty of years to back his choices making the call. Now to my knowledge there has neen no rulings in this county handed down by any judge that stated one could or could not handout readings of any type. Now a judge has ruled on it. I'm only saying put yourself in the shoes of the officer, on one hand you have a person upset that it was being done and on the other you have a person that was upset they got a ticket. The officer only took the steps that would allow a judge to rule on the matter. yes he should be allowed to hand it out. The officer was put into a no win situation, if he writes the ticket he could have been violating someone’s rights, if he does nothing then the police department, city and he are all racists. |
| A Hoosier Thursday, January 5, 2012: 12:40 am More from A Hoosier | Proud Redneck must be one of those nonracist people living in Morgan County. |
| version Thursday, January 5, 2012: 1:42 am More from version | Lol ya must be |
| Spanky Thursday, January 5, 2012: 7:32 am More from Spanky | Rod, Did you file a complaint when those organizations left materials? I'm guessing not, that, my friend, is the difference. There was a complainant in this case. The officers did not seek out this man simply because he was handing out KKK material. It's what he did, not what he was doing it with. |

| thumper342 Thursday, January 5, 2012: 10:11 am More from thumper342 | Spanky I'm guessing that complaining about the organizations Rod mentioned, would not have brought on near as much attention as with the KKK. I agree with Rod, freedom of speech should prevail. And (littering is littering.) As a member of this community for 50 yrs., I know as well as most, that laws and rules can be configured, or interpreted as needed. Just because a complaint is made, doesn't necessarily make it one worth checking into. It all depends on what kind of political or moral backlash said complaint may bring. Me as a simple Joe and a member of our justice system, or relative, or friend thereof, are in no way treated equally. Double standards are alive and well. Not just here, but throughout the world. The so called elite forces wish to enforce laws that don't pertain to them. I DO NOT agree with the KKK in any way, but the right to free speech and delivery of literature apply to all. Just because it's on your front step or in your mailbox, doesn't mean you have to read it. That's why it's called junk mail. I have nothing but respect for our judicial system and it's officials. But, corrupt is corrupt, no matter how you slice it. GOD BLESS AMERICA!!! |
| thumper342 Thursday, January 5, 2012: 10:44 am More from thumper342 | Version Let's look at this another way. If said judge had ruled on say Christian literature, would the officer be just as willing to give out a ticket? I hope not. By your comment, if a so called judge rules against any of our constitutional rights or amendments, then all officers as well as soldiers, should uphold that ruling. That my friend is martial law. I'm sure there were no underlying reasons for this judges ruling. LOL Shoes or not, wrong is wrong. What's good for the goose should also be good for the gander. GOD BLESS AMERICA!!! |
