We need to support the boys team as a bad coach does not mean the players should be punished and don't put heat on the players they got enough under their belt. I think we all agree to that! I also believe the asst coaches and the team can keep the momentum moving forward. Just show up for the game Friday night .

My wife just said "Well, thank God it was a girl". Isn't that a sad statement about the level of decline in our society. Shaking my head.

I must've missed the report of a 17 year old girl being in the car. Was this on a news channel or through the gossip trail?

Innocent until proven guilty? Not around here apparently. Rod??

yes yes your right, we have all forgot our clothes and drove 30 miles up the road, picked up an underage female, and drove to a secluded area in the park at one time or another. I mean, this could be just another one of those cases, and he is completely innocent. You must work at MSD huh? Where the justification for anything and everything grows on trees. Unless your a parent, then they pull out their "referrals" where your children have been written up for everything and walking to fast, rendering anything and everything you have to say useless against the one sided, good ol' boy network, mostly made up of alumni from back in the 50's and 60's. There is simply no excuse for something like this, and he as guilty as the day is long, so long as the police positively identified him, furthermore considering MSD's own manner of punishment, and holding of anyone and everyone to a standard many of them cannot withstand, this guy deserves the maximum across the board.

The 17yr old girl being in the car was NOT on the noon news, but it's in the article in the reporter.

This is so sad; feel so bad for our boys, they don't deserve this. I hope they persevere.

I feel bad for the players, the community, the school's reputation...
It is terrible and anyone who knew about this over the years...as our kids all did...should be punished to the fullest extent of the law as well. This is no different than the unfortunate things that have come to light in collegiate sports recently.

My teens tell me he also owns Subway here in town. Wonder if that is where he met the teen?

I am amazed that so many people seem to "know" of his exploits, but he was still teaching. I was a student at MHS in the '70's and my kids had Coach Wolf as a teacher. Did anyone ever come forward with proof of his antics? Or is this just hearsay and innuendos? I am appalled!!! I think we need to do a full house cleaning of the teachers/staff. If that means hiring competent teachers from outside the 'ville, all the better. So tired of nepotisma and cronism in our local government and school systems. My guess is there are other teachers who were aware and did nothing. Really? I thought there were laws stating that teachers (and other adults) are responsible to report suspicion of sexual activity between teachers (adults) and minors. I am just sick about this.

Just reading all the previous comments. If this behaviour was known why did everyone look the other way and not report him. I have no connection to the schools in the last several years. What is wrong with officials here in town? At least once a month some one is in trouble with something in Martinsville. Either using other peoples money, drinking stealing, etc. Or is it the Artesian Water? If the water we need another source. Or just plain bad behavior? Trying to get by with out consequenses. Shame on this crazy old man 65 with a 17 year old silly girl. Do the schools run complete background checks on their teachers and keep them up to date?

History has taught us that "just hearsay and innuendos" sometimes less, sometimes more, has been grounds for investigations internally. If indeed ANY MSD official had even the slightest knowledge of Mr Wolf's exploits, or the subject had ever been hinted at by a parent, student, other staff and or just anyone in the past. These cases are often accompanied by more then one firing. These days its not only "the thing to do" its simply the law to report any such episode, if they have been found to be warranted or not by school officials. These laws were passed to reach beyond the typical good ol' boy network, placing outside oversight directly on the issue. With all the talk of previous knowledge of his behavior toward students in the past, I would not be surprised to see a lengthy investigation. I just wonder if MSD keeps those type "referrals" as well?

Having several teens in MSD, and listening to them and 5 or 6 friends talking, everyone knew he was having the affair with (Can't list her name because she is a minor) something or rather, and she in fact works at sub-way, and all the students knew of this very well, mentioning she was often in his office with the door shut. So yeah, investigations will be lengthy to say the least.
