I'm a little concerned about all the family connections - ex-husband, uncle, aunt all in the sheriff's department. This is not a reflection on Ms Rohlman, but I think we need more diversity in our county offices. When family members and close friends work closedly together it is more difficult to remain objective.

This is what I see, I see a family tradition. Law enforcement. If someone is a pastor and his son becomes a pastor, we don't freak out then. No, we rejoice and say congrats. So why do we freak out with the other. Now, I am not saying you are freaking out, but I am sure there will be posts on here that will be extreme.

My biggest issue is who endorsed her, Gary Long. With friends like that no one needs enemies. I believe we need a fresh face that can bring new ideas and get out of the rut that obviously our "leaders" have been in for quite some time.

Jackson seems to be the one with no ties in the Morgan County Goverment, a new face, I think a change is needed, Jackson has my vote.

Another comment that concerns me is that she said the coroner doesn't care who shot the deceased. That doesn't sound like something a caring person would state. I'm voting for the folks with no family ties. I for one am tired of people turning their heads to immorality which is also a lack of integrity.

Thanks for the information posted here as to the family ties and morals. This is stuff we need to know to make good decisions in voting for our officials. I knew the minute Long endorsed her that was a bad omen and thought she should drop out then. If more people would speak up, situations like we have now with Long and at the High School would cease. We need to clean this county up and stand up for public decency and morality. She does not sound like someone I would want to have dealing with!!

Phil Armstrong has my vote. New blood, good character, and high standards. I don't know anything about Jackson, but I know Armstrong and will gladly support him. I know far too much about Rohlman and Harmon, and while Rohlman may not have asked for Long's endorsement, she certainly didn't come out and denounce it until she saw that it was going to be an issue.

I think to say that you are not voting for a person because they are related to someone is a little narrow minded. You should look at their experience and training. I don�t know if Rohlman is the correct person or not, but a person should have a chance based on their qualifications.
