Its placing more eyes, more organized thoughts and opinions right on the spot light issues. Anyone on the outside would read all this and come to what conclusion? (A) Martinsville is filled with unintelligent people making sarcastic remarks, or (B) There really is a problem in the School systems and accompanying Governing bodies. The best thing to do is tag these comments, set links out throughout google, yahoo, and MSN, State and federal Websites, facebook, Orkut, Twitter, and its bound to catch the eye of an investigative journalist or maybe even someone more effective. It was these very type conversations that exploded and completely flipped the Egyptian Government, and so many more. Its like a virus, the more you say, the more you post and the more you reach out, the farther it spreads, the more pressure that is placed and directed upon these type officials who think its "Their way" and "Their concerns" only needing to be addressed. It would'nt take much at this point, with figures like Mr Furniss and his backwoods, limited, silly, revealing comments, as well as the prosecutors more then obvious sidestep of justice. People would have to be blind to not see that, and its certainly there to be read, its in his own words, just help it to get to the people! Scan and post the links! The days of the public having no say are over, it seems Morgan county has yet to figure this out..... |

Does the high school not have camera's all around the bldg. inside the hallways? YES IT DOES! problem is....outside cameras only catch front of the bldg. and last to my knowledge...the side cameras don't work correctly! God forbid anything bad happen! We wouldn't want to catch anything that might "blemish" our Admin.!! They are pathetic!!! Students saw them on the track, behind restrooms outside, and in the gym area! Teacher's well aware! Our Prosecutor cannot prosecute him for that. Like he said, he is looking into charges based on the alleged sexual relationship and the length of it. I find it disgusting that Don Lipps can state crap about showing support for the team and eliminating distractions, yet he did NOTHING to protect this team (or prior teams) from allegations of Wolf's inappropriate behavior with under-aged girls. It seems to me the news of Wolf's inappropriate behavior has been of concern in the past. WHY wasn't something done?!? I seriously do not understand why a formal investigation wasn't done, or why MORE investigations weren't done with EVERY complaint that was received! The reputation of Martinsville isn't positive. I think this is our chance to stand up for what is RIGHT and JUST. Let us stand up for and protect our precious children, and see how many others leave who are doing the same things to our children, or worse! I think it's time for a complete overhaul from Furniss down! Our community is better than this! Our children deserve a safe place to learn and grow! Let's band together and provide that by holding each and every teacher, coach, and administrator to a high level of integrity and performance; and if they mess up or prove to be unworthy of our children or community, FIRE them and get someone else who can do the job! School board meeting is Thursday at 7:30PM at the school administration building, will you be there? |
