MSD school board accepts Wolf's resignation

You won't pay more in taxes to hire teachers, but you'll pay more to "make him pay?" Do not judge, lest you be judged....right? Take care of your brothers and sisters in community, right? Show an act of civility towards humanity, right? Nah, clobber him and burn the town down over one pathetic loser!!!!! This comments page is exactly whay it is: A comments page and we know around here people like to comment on everything especially when it's bad news. He would get his retirement through the state regardless of whether or not they fired him or he resigned or he retired. Period. Now, they don't have to pay wages, benefits, or any of the other parts of his compensation. He also loses the buyout that was offered this year. So, I figure, he's lost about $30,000 in real cash/wages/benefits as oppossed to being charged with nudity charge and serving time (as age of consent law is 16 so no felony there) OR This community to could beat itself to death over and idiot (or several) and pay this guy $100,000 plus legal fees plus anything that might come out to protect him, etc. Be mad but remember, we're all human. We are all sinners. We are all not perfect. It's an awful shame and it has to stop. The board acted on what it is being advised from legal experts to do, not on emotion and public fervor. It is in time of chaos that we see how people really are and I would like to think that this community is better than this - better than tearing itself apart over a sick man who is outta here and probably ruined for life (as his family here is too) Put this in God's hands not your fists. |

| liwms Friday, February 17, 2012: 12:30 pm More from liwms | I think the comments I just read are so thoughtful and right on target. I hope people will remember this and someone along with Pastor will run for school board next time. The whole system is broken, everyone in a position above Wolf should go, people should demand their resignation. They obviously covered for him for a long time. Some of them have skeletons in their closet. The sad thing is that they have given the example to the kids to take the easy way, its quicker, its easier, its cheaper. Don't stand up against evil, don't do the right thing. Choose expediancy. If the founding fathers had that attitude we'd still be under a King's rule. Disgusting. Keep fighting and keep pushing to rid this district of the men who let our kids down. |

Why would anyone give your comment the negative vote? Must be the good old boys commenting and voting here today. Apparently all the outraged citizens at last night's school board meeting were too worn out and disappointed at NOT being heard that they have quit commenting. Too bad. This story is no longer just about Wolf. He might get proper punishment, instead of the slap on the wrist punishment of being allowed to resign and move to Florida, IF and only if the State Police investigation is not corrupted by the good old boy network of Morgan County. The story now should focus on ALL the individuals that knew and covered up for the old fool, and they, too should be punished for allowing this type of corrupt culture to continue in a PUBLIC SCHOOL SYSTEM. And all the good old boys on the school board need to go--VOTE THEM OUT--no matter what new person runs for election to school board, give them your vote. They could not possibly be more ineffective for our schools than this current group of "yes" men, allowing themselves to be controlled by the superintendent and other administrators, instead of the other way around. What a SHAME on everyone involved with Martinsville schools that it took an arrest in Indianapolis to FORCE these responsible educators to deal with a terrible ongoing situation to continue. Unbelievable! |
| fix it Friday, February 17, 2012: 1:29 pm More from fix it | WELL WE NEW WHAT WAS GOING TO HAPPEN. I COULD ONLY SAY REMEMBER WHEN TO GO VOTE.WHAT THEY HAVE DONE IS WRONG. |
| Spanky Friday, February 17, 2012: 1:31 pm More from Spanky | I take issue with Costin's remarks that Wolf's retirement was his regardless of the outcome. I believe, and I could be mistaken, that if Wolf had been terminated, he would have been emtitled only to the funds he had deposited into the fund, not a life-long pension. Regardless, resignation is too good for Wolf. His personnel record should be stammped TERMINATED. Sadly, this portion of the investigation is over. On to the next... |
| AMRFHSD Friday, February 17, 2012: 2:01 pm More from AMRFHSD | Hey all, I'm the one they threw in jail over and over again JUST because I WOULDN'T GO TO SCHOOL HERE !!!! Am I forgiven now ??? |
| downtown customer Friday, February 17, 2012: 2:57 pm More from downtown customer | I am not condemming the girl. He is the one to blame for taking advantage of her inmaturity.Who else too over the years. If 17 now must have been underage when this started. He should be charged and sent to prison. This girl surely could have a young boy friend to be with besides that ugly, dirty old 65 year old. Must have been good pay. I heard rumor she made $12 and hour at Subway while the other works minimum wage. She will not be able to face any one in this town since most of the high schoolers know who she is. If she has parents where were they. I realize not every parent knows what their teen is doing. They can be very secretive and tell a good fabricated story. May have misunderstood the Indy Star saying another investigation besides Wolf in the school district. Any one read this today. |
| RaynBo Friday, February 17, 2012: 7:26 pm More from RaynBo | Yes put this in God's hands and hope the hell none of the other teachers or coaches are banging the students. Martinsville High School first in the state whenit comes to hands on Sex Education! I am disgusted and I fear for the safety of any of the female students walking through those halls because apparently its ok ........as a tax payer I do not give a damn how much it would have cost he should have been terminated right is right...period! I am ashamed of this town!!! |
| Whadda I. Know Friday, February 17, 2012: 9:20 pm More from Whadda I. Know | The present Martinsville School District should be dissolved and the operation of the district turned over to a private company. |
| Danny Stewart Saturday, February 18, 2012: 1:54 pm More from Danny Stewart | Fix it, Nobody is going to remember this at voting time. If they do, it won't make a difference. People around here will just keep putting the same people back in office again. The ones holding office now know this. That's why they aren't worried about it. |
