What a wonderful idea, Mr. Bowlen!!! Also a reminder that the Martinsville Choral Program is headed to State ISSMA competition at Perry Meridian High School this Saturday morning. Good luck to all of the soloist and ensembles! Congrats to the MHS Academic Decathlon team :-) Good luck to the Boys on Friday, Saturday and Tuesday night. Go Artesians!

Kudos to Mr Bowlen and all that have stepped up to get people involved. I agree 110% that these boys need all the support they can get but they should have this kind of outpour of support all the time NOT just when they've been betrayed by their trusted leader. These boys (as well as our Football players, Wrestlers, Cheerleaders, Baseball, etc.) deserve this kind of community support from us all the time. We have some amazing kids in this community and the school has taken so much from them. They aren't aloud to have a good time at games anymore, there are no pep rally's to build school spirit, there are no community rally's to give them the support they deserve. The school has stripped them of all of that. It amazes me that the Middle School's do more to raise school spirit than the High School does. Name one other school that has no pep rally's, no noisemakers at games, no theme nights (unless a group of kids happen to plan to come dressed the same), no decent Homecoming activities - NOTHING. These kids want to be involved but are shot down by the AD and Principal every time they make a suggestion.These are the times these kids are supposed to look back and remember and they've been stripped of all the fun they should be having.
