I really hope they catch the person making these threats. Not only does it disrupt the school day it also causes concern in the community. Nothing to be playing games with.

I ask why the students were left in class? Why werent buses called in and they taken off the property for safety?

Do you think they should call in buses everytime a threat is made? Really? Don't you think that would cause some idiot to call in everyday and maybe more than once a day so that kids can get out of class each time or so they could feel all powerful? Come on people . . . use your head. I'm curios, George, what would you propose they do?

Obviously if it was happening time and time again I would see your point. Just like the school shooting everyone thought it couldnt happen here in good ol Martinsville but it did! So do we risk our childrens lives? What if there was a bomb spotted or in the school? What if the slightest movement triggered it? Then we have a flattened school with over 1200 students injured or even dead. Not something I would want to explain to anyone if I was a administrator and made the call to carry on if as nothing was wrong. Yes I have complete faith in our Law Enforcement and there special teams, abilities and resources but they can only do so much.

I agree with George on this. Better to be safe and make the assumption it is for real than to have the worst happen. Doing a lock down after being told a bomb is on the property doesn't make sense to me. Better to remove the kids.

It has happened two weeks in a row now. I sure don't want something to happen at the school since I DO have a child there, but I also don't want a bunch of kids moving around and accidentally trigger something either. It is a no win situation that I'm sure is being addressed. I wish that people is this community that complain about everything wrong and that they want fixed would actually volunteer to help correct things instead of bashing people and complaining all the time. This community needs to come together instead of tearing each other down. In otherwords, start acting like ADULTS!

There should be the ability to trace the calls that are coming in to the police dept. Get the warrant needed, get the phone company involved, and get it done....this has to stop.

Curious, just someone who is tired of all the negative stuff I'm seeing from most. I'll be anxious to read something positive. By the way, how did you figure out my profession so quickly? Wow!

What do you expect? Something positive to come from this thing they call a paper? All they report on in this town is negative things.
