What a sad story. I remember going to the Nashville Opry many years ago and it was a wonderful experience. The Opry was the only place in central Indiana at that time to see live country music stars and they had the very best.
I don't know Mr Bowyer but I do know Esther Hamilton. At one time we were on a bowling league together. It sounds like both Mr Bowyer and Esther have a real gambling problem. Going to the casino to lose more money when you have only $343 in the bank? I would have thought that Esther would do a better job handling her finances considering all of her years with the Morgantown bank and the fact that she and her first husband owned and operated a successful business for several years. I hope it is proven that Esther knew nothing of the plan to burn the building but I doubt it. So sad, not only are their lives messed up now but Nashville lost a big attraction that night in 2009 and country music fans suffered a blow as well.

Of course Esther Hamilton knew of these plans. They had been in cahoots for a long time. Why didn`t she want to know why she was so broke with all the money coming in to the Opry from shows? They neither one ever drew a salary from there, why should they when they could just reach into the till and take off to gamble.I`ll bet she never offered to take a Polygraph test!!!and that she refused if asked. He would not either. He always hires the best attorney in Martinsville, will he have the money for this attorney now?

Here's an awesome example of justice. Let's lock up a 75 year old man for arson.

I vote we let him go home, inform the insurance company of our determination, and call it a day.

He burnt his property, lost his equity, and it won't cost the taxpayers fifty grand a year to house this fella.

If he doesn't like the determination, he sues the insurance company, his dime.

A Hoosier I see where you are coming from but this man has gotten by with so much up to this point. Multiple fires, a marijuana patch on his property & theft at the IGA to name a few. I would be in favor of him serving community service. Roadside trash pick-up could be a start. He then should spend the balance of his time on home detention keeping him out of the casino's. The building nor the property was ever his to lose equity from. We would all be naive to think Esther didn't know what was taking place.
