Adam is a sharp young fella. IMHO the issue of Government becoming inefficient due to a reactive response pattern is an issue that applies to other levels of government as well. I would like to see proactive ideology to take root.

As much as I would like to see change.... You might want to know what a Commissioner is responsible for. Nothing to do with the budget. There is a Commissioner budget submitted, but the County Council sets the budgetlimits.

One small part of the county budget is the budget for commissioners. It has to be approved by the fiscal body (county council).

Lassiter a/k/a/ easily confused,

The Commissioners submit a budget to the Council as do other offices. The Council then ammends, denies, or approves such budget. The Commissioners do not vote on budgets. Hopefully this clears it up for you.

I neither asked for or need any clarification on how the system works. I merely pointed out your conflicting comments.

The council and commissioners work together. Most things are decided before we hear of it. To say that the commissioners have so little to do with any part of county government is rather disingenuous.
