If they were messing with an older student in high school or graduated then a prison term is fine, but if it was with one of their students in second grade, well, a harsher sentence then that should be given IMHO.

Thank you to Jennifer Dow for your comment on the Fox 59 blog of comments negative to Martinsville. Our town is not filled with molesters and perverts as they commented. I am upset when Martinsville (such a great town) gets this kind of comments from other towns and is looked upon as a bunch of hillbillies. We do not know yet what has taken place with this teacher. So do not judge until it is known.I hope the comments were not citizens of Martinsville. If they are they should just move to Indy.

It's an investigation. Doesn't mean they are guilty. Hopefully this is nothing and we can try to move forward from these things. The real problem is that our children are hearimg all of these stories and being affected by these incidences.

Shouldn't the police determine if a crime was committed. I thought it was a law that if abuse of a child is suspected by a person in the school system that it is the responsibility of the police dept. to do an investigation. This is like letting my cats determine if one of the birds killed in the back yard was murdered by one of them.

Censorship at it's best, huh Reporter-Times? I noticed you deleted my comments. Maybe you should hurry up and go delete the nice commentary I left under the Terrie Haniford article. I gave my opinion there too.

Good God! What will it take before people wake up and realize IT IS a town full of pervs & molesters and DO SOMETHING about it instead of dismissing it & whining that your town is thought of that way?!?!? Teach your kids what to look out for & PAY ATTENTION to signs from kids and creepers too! DOES ANYONE HAVE ANY COMMON SENSE???
