I think the healthcare bill is a wonderful thing and hope all you who hate it do not come up against a catostrophic illness or pre existing condition or your young adult unemployed or underemployed child does not get hospitalized with no insurance! Switzerland has mandatory health insurance and has one of the highest longevity rates in the world. We have one of the lowest and one of the highest infant motality rates in the world because women cannot afford prenatal care and insurance companies do think pregnancy is a pre-existing condition! When our people cannot afford medications or health care, even preventative, it becomes a social problem for us all and puts our whole population at risk from community acquired diseases! |
