I won't vote for tresspassers or people that don't respect private property owner's rights.

Rat, but you are perfectly willing to vote for someone who is incompetent in her current position? And feels she has to rely on others to intimidate the candidates in order to win an election? Pathetic.

Clearly a member of the good 'ole boy club.

Danny, You hit the nail on the head! The club doesn't like Peggy because she doesn't do what they tell her to do. She thinks for herself and is nobody's puppet. Ask yourself this: If Elliot is so great why didn't the club back him for county council a few years ago? Now they want him to be state rep and he has zero government experience. Sheer lunacy! They will do anything to get someone in that seat they can control. Notice how they call her incompetent. Are they also calling Steve Buyer, Mayor Deckard and all the other people that endorsed her incompetent also?

MooresvilleCitizen: I'm not sure where you get your information about Peggy Mayfield but she does her current job very well. You should be thanking her for the money she has saved the county and the changes she has made to help the county be more efficient in their practices. Peggy isn't part of the good'ole boy club and we should be thankful for that. Peggy does think on her own and has done a great job in her position as Morgan County Clerk and will be great as State Representative on District 60 if elected. I'm also not sure who she is using to intimidate other candidates to get her elected.

Some people should go back and look at the mess Peggy had to clean up from the previous clerk and the monies that were missing or misplaced that Peggy had to try and find.

If Morgan County continues to elect the Good'Ole Boys club members into office Morgan County will never change or grow and will probably end up as one of the biggest welfare counties in the state.

Gest, it does appear that Peggy does her job well. But those on the inside know how things are run and it's not pretty. She is unorganized, snobby, demanding, loses papers all the time, talks down to people, thinks she knows everything, and so many times is unprepared because things are done last minute. Those who have worked with her all see that.

She's snubbed so many people over the years that there is no way she can win an election without intimidation.

You all should also know that Arvin Hopkins did not write this letter and has given Daniel Elliott permission to place signs on his property. That's what happens when you play dirty. It backfires.

Stop pretending to be an "insider" with information. You are only on here to spread lies to help your inferior candidate win an election. All one has to do is ask Peggy's employees what they think of her to find out the truth. I personally have heard several of them rave about how great she is. They adore her and work harder for her then they would any other boss. Are you insinuating that she won the last two elections by intimidation? That's what it sounds like to me. Peggy should probably sue you for your comments and shut you up, but she is a smart enough business woman not to since everytime you open your trap on here more people open their wallets and donate to her campaign. So keep it up.

Would love to hear your epiphany as to why Mayfield is such a great business woman? What mess did she clean up? How did she save the county money? How does this make her an acceptable candidate for our state legislation?

I have received her mailing. Her generalized statements will not get my vote.

Rat, you won't vote for people who don't respect private property rights. You are such a hypocrite. You make me sick, how I loathe you.

You had no problem with the county going onto private property, seizing that property, and selling it because it was an eye sore. In fact, you supported it.

Just like a republican, spin it.

It has been said that Mr. Hopkins did not write this letter. It is worded very similar to the one signed by Mr. Remster on this same topic.
Voters beware of candidates that try to win on false pretenses.

Yes I did support it and I still do. No spin needed. I applaud the county for doing what they did to protect the property values of the neighbors. The trash man was warned for months and was ordered by a judge to clean it up and he refused. Not at all the same as someone tresspassing and putting signs on your property that you don't want. Apples and oranges, Hoosier.

And we all know about your long history of personal issues with the Mayfields. You've posted them so many times on here you sound like a broken record.

My definition of a successful business/businessperson is one who has a dozen full time employees working for them. As far as the other questions you asked about her maybe if you showed up to a county council meeting every once in awhile you would know the answers to those.
