The city will be issuing bonds of less than $2 million. The city paid $1.05 million for the seven-acre plant on Rogers Road adjacent to Ind. 37 using sewage department funds, but the bond issue will pay that money back and cover the cost of renovations.

Robbing Peter to pay Paul has never bode well in balancing the checkbook. One or the other usually comes up short with the citizens of Martinsville footing the bill at the end of the transaction.

Not pointing any fingers but who got the Commission off the sale??? The Mayor is in Real Estate. Also do the people of Martinsville realize with the Annexation the Mayor is pushing will raise their Taxes. The City say's about 9 to 15 Million dollars is what it will cost to run service . Try more like 20 to 30 Million Dollars. Guess what people this will be a whole town Debt not just the people in the Annexation area. So if you live on a fixed budget you might want to check this out. Because when we all can Least afford it The City is ready to back door the Tax Payor again.
