This coach is a stand up guy. He made a mistake and is moving forward. I wish the community could do the same. When the police do their jobs it will not make everyone happy. The fact of the matter is, the officer was doing his job. The goal is to gain awareness of the importance of restraints. AGAIN he was doing his job.

"Could have been handled differently"???? You mean like maybe child endangerment charges for the coach? Or maybe interfering with a police officer,or inciting a riot for the "private investigator/disgraced trooper"with the camera? No, I think it was handeled about right. Give officer Richards credit for keeping his cool while being unduly harassed by a crowd while doing what we are paying him to do. If you think we need better police then do what you do when you want better coaches. That would be give them more leeway, more support, more respect, and a much larger salery. OK, sorry, bad example.

Strike #2 for this coach! It was bad enough to get the tickets but to come dressed like an inmate to the ball field is just plain unreasonable. Dressing like an inmate lets these boys think that its ok to be in jail. Lets make a joke of it instead of just teaching & letting it go. Being a coach is way more than teaching pitch & catch. Coach, you just gave your boys an image that it's ok to where orange that portrays a very negative figure! COM-ON-MAN
