Nothing against Paul he is a good Friend. But once again Martinsville finest Cherry Picking the Laws . You can't transport Protected Species and turn loose where you want.

The lady that picked it up and set it back down without being bitten is now qualified to be a minister in West Virginia, and some parts of Kentucky.

Protected or not if that snake was on my property I would have shot it several times and ran it over with mower for good measure!

You are an idiot!! What did you expect them to do?? By God, if the DNR was not available to show up to help, they sure weren't available to show up and enforce an ignorant law.

Hugh Jorgan really an Idiot come on my guess is you can do better then that. I also guess you live in the City? Thats where the comment of an Ignorant Law came from. Laws are made to be followed like it or not. But it seems if you live in Martinsville depending on who you are they can be broken. Just trying to show all you bleeding Hearts that live in Martinsville how two faced you can be HUGH.

New meaning to the 'the snake that bit ya' and 'catch and release'! I go with shooting and running over with mower solution myself. Why are we protecting such a venomous creature?
