TODAY'S HEADLINE!!!
Annex Plan Could Be Cut.
First of all cut out Ross Holloway!!! Residents believe he and city leaders have some sort of personal gain involved. Look at where property is building ready, not flood plains full of sand. There is already existing property at 252 and 44 corridor that is stable to support incoming business. Check it out!!!!

As far as financial records, let the City of Martinsville see incoming and outgoing funds. Put in local paper, internet. Residents should not just take the word of an official that the City is in good financial shape. The City residents should see it for themselves. Seeing is believing.

In the words of Shakespeare "The guilty does profess their innocence too much". In other words show us the financial records for City and it's leaders.

Maybe the council members should have asked the EXPERT Mr. Sweeney why haven't the shovel ready sites we already have not materialized into anything? 8 acres added to industrial park,7 lots inside existing industrial park (35 years now),78 acre schwab land, 55 acres in Grandvalley(walmart area),3 acre next to Goodwill,5acre 39bypass and thats only what I can think of at the moment. I wonder how much more we spent having Mr. Sweeney come to the council meeting to tell them they are doing the right thing.
Something else they could have asked Mr.Sweeney why did Toyota locate in Dearborne County south of Princeton in an open corn field with no mastermind planning or Zoning and are employing 4,500 people. I guess Toyota should have talked to Mr. Sweeney before they made that purchase so they would have understood that that is not the way it is done anymore.
I do feel better though I will admit since Ross Holloway, who is going to receive 1.6 million for his efforts on this annexation, has assured us all that the Mayor and no elected official will profit from this annexation. I wonder how long it will be before we start hearing "compared to other towns this large we are being under payed".

I would say Decker would not be the first public offical that said he didn't need the money and later to be found guilty. But I do not know his money situation and only time will prove him innocent or not. I still believe Martinsville is not in the top 50 of places a large company wants to build in and with the governmant regulations required it may be hard to do.
