I would assume the efficiency of this plant has loss preformance and would cost too much to overhaul. To me as far as the EPA goes they can jump off a bridge as it is they who has forced a lot of companies to cross the ocean.

With the new electric grid the most efficient power generators are used first. Eagle Valley is one of the least efficient plants in the Midwest. I hope they can get through legislation and build a nuclear plant.

Inefficient and PAID FOR. Wow, we just put 120+ workers out of a job during a recession. Nice. They will rebuild a gas fired plant there that will employee 20 people. IPL has had the cheapest rates in the country for decades, with an inefficient plant. Now the customers will pay for the new one and 100 people will be out of work.

The EPA will destory this country. I intend to support those seeking elected offices on the platform of bringing the bloated EPA under control.

As an IPL employee formerly located at Eagle Valley, I believe some of the statements in this article are incorrect. Double check your facts Charlie.
