No Murals please..... let the park be natural lets not take away from the beauty that nature already gives us! Fix what needs to be fixed but we do not need to be adding to it!

Here's a thought. Get rid of Grady Howard to start.

Next, have the super make a list, not the board, then have at it. Don't talk, just do.

I see nothing wrong with murals, why not add a little vibrantcy to the park.

I agree. These murals are beginning to be a bit much.

This town does NOT need anymore Murals, especially one done by Cheryl Allen!!! who is well known in the Court system. I have heard comments that not everyone admires these paintings.Persons may put them on property they own but for the City of Martinsville to put out taxpayer dollars for someone like Ms Allen to trash up the City park is beyond comprehension.
I hope the Park Board rejects this entire idea!!!

I went down to the park to play basketball but the basketball court goals and back boards were in terrible shape. The 8 foot goals were not even around to be used. The park needs to address some basic maintence on areas that people would love to use in the future. Just some food for thought!

Im pretty sure no one at the park or pool has put a brush or power sprayer to the floors of the pool locker rooms. That could be a good start. Those facilities are in dire need of some hardcore cleaning.

I agree..no murals at the city park.Sally did a beautiful job on hers, but, the park should be left natural.
The trail system around the park was the best idea in years!Whoever, made that decision should be managing the day to day affairs of our park.
The area around the lake should be cleaned up.Place several benches all around.Have community businesses or individuals buy the benches and place their name on them.
Police should patrol the area where the furthest sheltor houses are...especially after 7pm.My wife and I used to walk this area, but, too many drug deals keep us away after 5!

Keep murals out of the city park. God has provided us a beautiful landscape just the way it is. The city should be cautious of any dealings with the listed individual.

The basketball courts need a lot of work and so do the alley ways leading to them. It would be great if they were blocked so that only pedestrians and people on bicycles could use them. I don't know how many times I've seen people parking their cars on the courts so they can play loud obnoxious music while they play on the other court.

Well lit sidewalks in those alley ways would discourage some of the drug deals that happen there all the time. The police don't have the manpower to hover over the park all night. I really wish they could, but it's just too hard for them to be everywhere they're needed all the time when their budget is so tight.

The electrical box in the gazebo at the top of the hill has been stolen for scrap metal again. My son told me he got shocked when he was up there walking the dog. That definitely needs to get fixed!
