only my opinion said:
I'm going to miss Marsh too. But, every time I went in there, it was really frustrating. I ended up spending way too much time in line. I'm sorry, but I do not want to spend 15 minutes in line to pay for a loaf of bread. On another note, ONE MORE emptly building in Martinsville. We do not get anything new in Martinsville when we "develop" another piece of farm land. All we do is migrate from one end of town to another. In the 80's, the Marsh Plaza was the place to be. Then, we migrated across town to the McDonalds plaza leaving empty buildings in the Marsh plaza. Then, all the business migrated to the old Wal-Mart plaza where Rural King is now, leaving empty buildings in the McDonalds plaza. Now,the place to be is on 37. We never get any new businesses, all we do is move businesses from one end of town to the next. Our town is full of dollar stores and pizza places. And don't get me started on the annex! STUPID STUPID STUPID!! Has anyone taken a look at our city sidewalks? HORRIBLE! I'm a runner, and I have no choice but to run in the street. If I run on the sidewalks, I take a chance of getting an injury. Fix what we have before we take on a new project! So tired of the "good ol boy" system! I'll probably get slammed for this, but Deckard needs to go!!!! It's time for some fresh faces!

At least in Martinsville when places move they generally stay in Martinsville. In Mooresville everything goes to Heartland in Hendricks Co and both Mooresville and Morgan Co lose out.

Mooresville has a Marsh and Kroger..still. Both are updated, and they have a good selection of everything. I've been to Marsh, Kroger and Wal-mart in Martinsville-unimpressed with the service provided by the staff at any of the three. What happened to being friendly and going the extra mile for your customer? Did Lowe's or Menards pick Martinsville to build a store? No, they didn't. Maybe it's because of the rude and unfriendly people working at the other retail establishments. I know it's not all the people, but it only takes a couple. This is coming from someone who has worked retail-customer service is everything. Secret shoppers are everywhere, critiquing everything, from your bathrooms to the amount of carts provided.
A friendly smile speaks volumes.

Mooresville Marsh is a ghost-town and I'm sure it will be next on the list. Lowe's was going to build in Grand Valley before the economy went south.....I don't think it was because of rude employees. I actually prefer the Martinsville Kroger to Mooresville. Mooresville Kroger always smells like fish.
