Looks like the Mayor had to create a meeting that did not include the annexed citizens but included the in town folks who are not effected so he could create the appearance of support by strongly suggesting to city employees (who are afraid of their jobs)and other city groupies to attend. I hope no one is dumb enough to fall for this charade.

Appreciate the thought, but it would have been helpful if the meeting providing answers to questions raised at this past Monday night's meeting, was at a time other then the middle of a work day for most citizens. The attendees of Monday night's meeting already know what the proposals are & how they will affect us, and that is exactly why a majority of us were there to show our oppposition to it! I also love the overuse of "PROBABLY" yet again! "The public will PROBABLY have an opportunity to speak at the gathering". What, only if we say how much we would love for our taxes to go up and for our money to be spent as the city of Martinsville sees fit? No thanks!

Bottom line, they want the money of the township residents not their opinion. Typical!

I thought we were supposed to be able to ask questions, is that not what they voted on? Nice having the meeting at 3:00 when people are working. Why are they having a meeting for the city? This is a joke, Im glad to see that 3 of the council members have some common sense, and can see this for what it really is, why can'nt they see we need places to shop and to eat, there are places for these things to be build now, and they would hire people. Eric if you are reading this please , you are the only one that can stop this, if you really care about the people vote NO, join your other 3 members and stop this now, this is a mistake. We neither want or need this, the mayor and hollaway will do what ever it takes to put this though, they are thinking of themselves, when you side with them you are as bad as they are.
