Fat chance that back-room deals will not be made with Lester, DA Da and Jr. That is human nature. Open access laws were meant to try and curb some of that. However, it seems our Clowncilmen have violated the spirit of the law without violating the law itself. And as we all know, unethical does not mean illegal, even though we wish it was. Unfortunately, we have some city Clowncil men that despise open access laws and does everything in their power to circumvent the spirit of the law and the ethics that most of us hold in our hearts.

Jr. and Lester have their heads so far up da da's trailer that if da da turned a sharp corner, they both would have broken necks. Jr. personally lied to me and both of them need to go. Get rid of both of these clowncil men.

I have, for a lot of years, thought the world of Doug and have and will, always consider him a great friend!! Just wish that if he has any politcical ambitions in his future, I wish he would stay and ride this storm out to the end!! Wether a council member, or a mayor,, U just shouldn,t abandon the people you were supposed to represent that placed you there! As a public offical, its always gonna be tough!! Hope you can recinde your resignation, and hang in there!! Love ya my friend!!

Here we have two independent sources corroborating our allegations of city officials meeting in secret. Both, Doug Arthur�s public announcement of resignation and The Reporter-Times Editor, have alleged the same thing.
To back that up, we also have an annexation map dated 2009. We have a councilman in 2010 denying any truth to rumors of annexation, and we have years of City Council Meeting minutes that make no mention of annexation.

What do we mean by secret? Secret, as defined by the dictionary means the following:
1. done, made, or conducted without the knowledge of others: secret negotiations.
2. kept from the knowledge of any but the initiated or privileged: a secret password.

Mayor & Council, from now on, any meeting you attend that �legally� skirts the law on public record or quorum requirements and does not require the keeping of meeting minutes, will be considered a secret meeting. I pray your consciences will not allow you to be involved with such meetings, heretofore.
