School can’t discriminate against religious groups

It was started during a time when there was less hostility toward Christianity than there is now. In fact, I am 47 years old and I attended WRE classes -- offsite from the school -- when I was in elementary school. This outreach is an attempt to share the truth and the love of Jesus Christ with kids that would otherwise not receive it. Christianity has an exclusive claim on truth which can be objectively defended and demonstrated. Jesus himself said, "I am the way, the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." John 14:6 NIV. Again, read the article at this address for support: http://www.schoolcraftpowertrain.com/Documents/WhyBelieve.pdf Tolerance and love from a Christian perspective demands that we share the saving grace of Jesus with a lost and dying world. It is not our duty to convert (that is the purview of the Holy Spirit), but it is our duty to share the good news. Comments such as yours are the beginning of the end of a very important tool for sharing the truth with our youth. |
