I am so sorry that you have had a bad experience in church. I walked away from church for about 15 years. But I will be eternally grateful that I came back. I would like to know just who this God is in which you believe. I don't see how it could be the God of Abram, Isaac, and Jacob. If it is another God, who is he? What are his teachings? We are messy people and we can't live a perfect life because we are not God. But Christians are called to be more like Christ every day. That's a journey, along which we will make mistakes I pray that you will also come back. |

There is a similar quote that has been verified...."Oh, I don’t reject Christ. I love Christ. It’s just that so many of you Christians are so unlike Christ." I can believe he said that, and I can embrace it. When you try to wrap your arms around Christianity, it can't be done. Man has taken what is simple and true and did what the Pharisees did, add so much stuff you have a hard time seeing the truth. But that changes nothing, for again, we are messy and we mess up. Sad indeed is it that anyone could come to the conclusion that God is ok with whatever we want to do with Him. |

"We are saved by the word of OUR testimony and the blood of the lamb." Every person has access to God through Jesus Christ. It is a personal spiritual journey. As a Christ follower, it is my mission to introduce friends, family, co-workers to Jesus by sharing my PERSONAL testimony. Not to point out the speck in their eye while ignoring the plank in my eye. I also believe that marriage should be between a man and woman. Our country is in dire straits and have turned their back on God in many areas of law, governments, education etc. But it is the HOly Spirit's job to convict others of their sin. It is the Christians role to love others as Christ has loved us. It is the difference they see in us that will draw them to God. Is homosexuality a sin. Yes. So is pre-marital sex, adultery, beastiality, masterbation on and on. They are all mentioned as sin in the Bible. And those are just the sexual sins. Each of us is to seek our salvation with "fear and trembling" before the Lord. These definitions of fear and trembling are more analogous to deep honor and respect. Fearing the consequences of being separated from God. Ok, I'm getting off my pulpit now. I just hope someone gets the point that we are all guilty of some sort of sin. The Bible does not classify big sin and little sin. |
