Candidate urges review of school admin

Very little was said about accomplishments. This article speaks direct, isn't sweeping problems under the rug or pretending they don't exist. It's hard sending our kids out the door each morning to a high school where I feel the student's aren't first and foremost but that some teachers and administrators will cover each other if the need arises. I have heard good things about Brad Wilson and his coaching with our kids. I know of instances where Mr. Wilson has spoken up for his beliefs and not backed down. I agree that the current administration has gotten very lax with one another and this needs to change. Mr. Wilson, your platform is holding my interests and that of many others in our community. |

| Blessed Monday, October 1, 2012: 3:49 pm More from Blessed | My question to Mr. Wilson(and others) is---you only have one vote, and since the board is made up of 5 tax payers, how do YOU think you will change things by yourself. Don't promise the taxpayers something you cannot deliver. I believe you were at the "one" board meeting and your statement was, I am a taxpayer and if it takes more money to get rid of Wolf then I am sure people will not mind if their taxes are raised to pay for it......I only know I don't think other tax payers will want you making that decision for them. Certainly not for me as it is all that we can do to pay our bills, put gas in our car and put food on our table. Some of us work (and I mean are at work) at least 40 hours a week and are still barely making ends meet. I think the school board is being put in one basket and not being treated as individuals. I think the public needs to know who is running with an attitude of "if I was on the board, I WOULD GET THINGS CHANGED. Several years ago we had a school board who ran with one agenda, to get back at an individual. For those who can remember that, it was a disaster. So everyone needs to read between the lines and vote with an open mind. |
| Blessed Monday, October 1, 2012: 3:52 pm More from Blessed | moco55...try going to a board meeting and listening to what is being done. I go to almost every meeting and I can honestly say besides the reporter being there, no one else is. |

| mcbacker Monday, October 1, 2012: 4:14 pm More from mcbacker | Speaking about mistakes . . . didn't I recently hear something about a five day suspension you received. If true, please explain to all the taxpayers what that was about. |
| nobodyimportant Monday, October 1, 2012: 5:48 pm More from nobodyimportant | I don't know this man. He expresses some of the same concerns we have all heard about the handling of the coaches. He seems confused however about the role of the school board. Plea barganining is a judicial function. The school board would have no say in whatever decisions were made between the prosecution and defense. That alone worries me. On the other hand, there are some good candidates for this particular post. I don't know Ryan Ferguson on a personal level but have worked with him on some community projects, and he seems to be a solid young man. |
| Pastor Tuesday, October 2, 2012: 8:30 am More from Pastor | Why did they transfer Wilson to night shift and why is he no longer a reserve officer? Why is he no longer a supervisor? |
| mcbacker Tuesday, October 2, 2012: 9:51 am More from mcbacker | Pastor, I hadn't heard about those details. We shall see if he addresses this issue. |
| Hunter Tuesday, October 2, 2012: 10:49 am More from Hunter | I just know from experience that when I was younger Brad Wilson treated me horrible and is no one that I would ever want my kids around.. GO STEVE BROCK!!!!! |
| Pastor Tuesday, October 2, 2012: 10:50 am More from Pastor | Personally, I appreciate all willing to come forward and serve. However, I think that we too as voters have a responsibility to seek and discover as much as possible about who we choose to entrust with the care of our students. |
| Pastor Wednesday, October 3, 2012: 5:49 am More from Pastor | Perhaps it was wrong of me to ask. Did not mean anything by my question whatsoever. Perhaps it was his own choosing in order to spend his daylight hours with the intentionn of serving his campaign and our local schools. Have to appreciate anyone who doesn't put themselves first. Simply wondering. Good luck to all our candidates its easy to see (at least from the ones I've read thus far that they have the best interest of the community at hand. |
