I'd be willing to vote for anyone that was willing to work toward making both Latin and French required for all of our kids beginning in the first grade. That means reading, writing, and speaking both languages just the same as English.

I'd have to say no. While Spanish is derived directly from Latin, it is still considered a lower language. Most of English is also derived from Latin, but has alot of French roots as well as Greek. English, Latin, and French are considered the laguages of the very well educated. At least they used to be. Thus they are/were considered the higher forms of language.

To make a change you have to stand for something. While he is a great paramedic, he is not a leader.

What I am concerned about is that Brock speaks very little about any business skills. However, as far as a leader, I do know that he started the EMS Association and they're 501C3. He also wrote quite a few grants to put those heart things in the schools and police cars and he has overseen Lifestar EMS and budget for several years now.

I am excited that there are 3 fresh new names on the ballot for this district. I am wondering if Brad Wilson or Ryan Ferguson are smart choices, if we are wanting Change for our students. Ryan is the grandson of the mayor and Brads'employment is with the city Police Dept. I just think that there is possiblity of a conflict of interest with these positions and this newly elected school board member. If we want to take a stand we need NO conflicts of interest!

Nurse, who do you consider the "good ole boys"? Is it everyone on the current school board or someone in particular? Please clarify for me.
