BIG MISTAKE allowing golf carts and ATV's on public roadways. As far as helping farmers, they already have exemptions in the law for ATV's used in farming. Hopefully if passed only licensed drivers, and oh yeah proof of insurance. Quit worrying about ways to make money and do the right thing.

I hope this passes. Give people a little liberty back. We in the rural areas would like to be able to use the roads we all payed for without getting ticketed. Could "confused again" elaborate on the exemption he spoke of, I farm and have never heard of this exemption. Thanks goes to our Sheriff for actually wanting to cut the people some slack.

I hope they're very selective with the roads they allow if they do, put a golf cart on one like Blue Bluff and just watch the ensuing mayhem it'll create.

Mr. McDaniel,

I see your standpoint, but I do not believe they belong on the roadway. No proper signals or restraints. I see it as a potential danger to the persons riding them, and to the motorist on the roadways. I thing the use of ATV's are spelled out well in I.C. Title 14, Section 16. It no longer speaks specifically of farming, but would allow the use for that function. Without liability insurance and licensed drivers this would be a mistake. I would think the Sheriff is full aware of this law.
