Welch displays convictions

Yet in the Democrat walkout of 2012, when faced with representing a new district, she stayed because she'd had a change of mind? When asked at the Morgan County fair if she was Republican or Democrat, she answered, "I can be either." Recently, she answered that she is neither Democrat nor Republican. Seems like she is having a difficult time making up her mind, depending on which audience she is speaking to. |
| Lassiter Friday, October 19, 2012: 11:57 pm More from Lassiter | The writer says You may not agree with unions but to allow government the opportunity to place a limitation on how one can spend their income becomes a whole different issue. It is quite the opposite of that. The whole idea is that people could CHOOSE to spend their money on the union rather than having their income forcibly taken from their paycheck. |
| Ratcatcher Saturday, October 20, 2012: 8:28 am More from Ratcatcher | Welch is just like Donnelly. They claim to be in the middle and can morph into whatever they want to at the time. Why don't they just be honest and run as an independent? And why aren't the dems mad because they are being disowned? Could it be the dems don't care what their candidate says as long as it gets them elected? My crystal ball says on Nov 6 Mourdock and Mayfield will be declared the winners and the two posers can go back home and try to figure out what to call themselves for the next political race they decide to run in. |
| GregBader Monday, October 22, 2012: 8:26 am More from GregBader | She walked instead of doing her job. THis is improper behavior for someone who works for everone, not just the chosen few. Then when her district was reorganized, she did not walk out, as she knew that her voters would not tolerate such childish behavior and that walking out the first time while attached to Pat Bauer may not have been smart. You try walking out on your job if you do not like something. Tell me how that works out for your employment after a few days of your protest in another state. |
| jimenicholls2 Monday, October 22, 2012: 10:48 am More from jimenicholls2 | The paradigm of life is evil vs good, tyranny vs Freedom, slavery vs liberty. It has been this way since man was created. Let us not get confused or distracted by the very false paradigm of left vs right or republican vs democrat. Anyone in public office that capitulates to tyranny, slavery, or evil and does not stand up (EVERY TIME) for individual liberty & freedom, needs to be voted out, PERIOD. Welch is not a warrior for individual freedom/liberty; therefore she needs to be replaced by someone who will. If she was a republican doing the same thing, she would still need to be replaced. Right now, Mayfield looks to be the freedom fighter. Of course, if Mayfield is elected, we must keep our collective "eye" on her to ensure she ALWAYS maintains the fight for freedom/liberty and never "compromises" for political expediency, or any other reason.
