For the extreme right, where Mourdock stands on this issue, the imposition is on the woman who is raped and wishes not to give birth under those circumstances. The far left position that each woman should make her own decision about whether or not to carry to term a pregnancy, rape or not, is an imposition of morality (or lack of it) on a yet-to be-born human being. Then there are those who want to find some acceptable common ground. That is, making abortions legal under certain situations such as rape. The moral impostion here is that some lives are worth more than others. Me? I don't think you can keep one foot in God's Kingdom and the other in the world. Trying to serve two masters only brings ruination. Get out of the middle and stand with or against God. Rape is an ugly, incomphehensible act of self satisfaction at another's expense. It is an extreme self-indulgent act that has no justification. The thing of it is, the infant that may come from that act doesn't have a say, and who will speak for him or her? What would you say to that baby if you could speak and be heard? |

Since the beginning of time the "path less traveled" has taken more faith and courage than the other. It doesn't take any courage or real intellect to go with the flow of the changing cultural winds; but to stand fast on the bed rock of truth is a lonely place. The truth is, the person created from rape/incest had/has no say in the matter, is totally innocent of the act, and is sacred and deserves life. THe fact is, our tax dollars, compelled by force, are being used to fund the killing of babies, a very, very small percentage of which are rape/incest cases. Most are used as a form of birth control. The founder of planned parenthood, Margaret Sanger, was a MENTOR TO HITLER and the eugenicists of the NAZI's!! HELLO! She is on record stating her goal was to reduce the population of blacks!! Wake up people! This is all true. Look it up. |
