I am appalled that politicians and others are still clueless about the actual impact of Mitch
Daniel's and Tony Bennett's "educational reforms". If one reads the above article carefully, one can see that no where among those quoted were any actual teachers, principals, or superintendents. The governor and his cohorts have approached education as if it were a business and have applied business perspectives to the choices they have made. The problem with that approach is that education is an instution of CHILDREN and those who work with them struggle with the deficits that society and families bequeath to these vulnerable members of our society.

As a registered Republican and retired educator, I have voted for many of those in power. However, I along with many others, split my ticket to vote for Glenda Ritz to make the point that these "reforms" are NOT what they are proported to be. If the people in power choose to ignore what was spoken by voters, they too will suffer the fate of Tony Bennett. PLEASE LISTEN TO THE VOICES OF THE VOTERS!

Someone steped on teachers toes and you all cry wolf. Its about time someone kicked all teachers in the pants. In business you do a bad job your get your butt kicked to do it right and if you don't out the door. Teachers say this kid will never learn so send them down the line to someone else and then they are out on the street and they learned nothing and the teacher says well I made 1/2 the class understand and they can't fire me for the jerked I let go on..
