Isn't the timing of this article convenient. Where in this article does it say any of the wrecks were on county roads? Where the terrain would be level and smooth and no barbed wire or so steep that it rolls over on top of you. Just when we might get a little freedom around here some do-gooder enforcement bureaucrat wants to save us from ourselves. Did he take a riding course? That would be good to know. Lets just ban ATV's and then we can save lives.

Another gov't program that benefits, primarily, the gov't itself. It creates more bureaucracy, revenue and justification for more gov't jobs; that by definition, do not provide or add to the economy, but only take, take, take.

If people choose to ride an ATV, they are also choosing to take on the risks. This is one of the costs of freedom. A cost I willingly accept.

To give up some of freedoms to gain perceived security/safety is a fools errand; because history proves EVERY FREAKING TIME you will end up with neither!

How about we just leave people alone...if I want to ride my ATV 1/2 mile down the road (in a rural area) to get to my hunting spot, why not?

I don't think any of us liberty lovers are advocating allowing ATV's in downtown Indianapolis or downtown Martinsville, for that matter.

We allow bicyclist on all roads, slowing down traffic, with no head lights, brake lights, etc...that seems more dangerous to the cyclist to me. Why don't we ban Lance Armstrong wannabees from all roads?!
Of course, I jest. The person that chooses to ride a skinny tired 10 pound titanium bicycle amongst cars, trucks, semi's going 70+mph, is also freely choosing to accept the huge risk that comes with that. Leave them alone, leave us all alone. Everyone wins with more liberty, everyone pays with bigger gov't and more laws.
