I don't know Kivett from "Eve"; but I and many others are becoming more and more skeptical of those that keep promoting themselves in our local gov't to more and higher positions. Additionally, she is related to someone else in the local gov't!!

The PEOPLE are getting tired of this stuff.

How about appointing or seeking out someone that might actually be more qualified that is NOT related to anyone in the Martinsville/Morgan Co gov't??!!

How about looking into people that have created businesses from nothing (although Hussein Obama says "you didn't build that")?? People that have no "favors" to potentially give/recieve from others within the gov't they might be friends or related with??

This is such a basic tenant of objectivity and eliminating the perception of corruption.

Vickie Kivett needs to give it up. She has had that position in the past and didn't do a very good job. And any office she has ever ran has been the unfriendliest, most unwelcoming place to walk into!

I won't pick on career office holders solely because they have been in office a long time. There are several that are friendly, competent, and innovative, and I would vote for them for another term. However, Kivett is none of the above.

If Mrs. Kivett really wants that position she had better not let Chairman Weaver campaign for her. Burnt toast will be all that is left of her political career if she does. Just look what Col. Klink did for Elliot and Welch.
