It doesn't matter what you did good or bad. You went to Ill to try and stop legislation. I don't remember the other side walking out of state when they were under staffed.
Now go and get a job at McDonalds if they will have you, but you may walk to Burger King.

Even though you tried to help Indiana workers, most people here didn't see it that way. You have to be Republican to win here. Sad but true.

What is sad is how we treat these people as if they were almost royalty. Why does Mrs. Welch get her own expose’ in the paper? Why is it these people get streets or parks named after them? Why is it some of them get lifetime tenure/pay for some elected positions?
They, as individuals, do much less to actually make the world go round than almost any other working person. Much, much less than an entrepreneur/small business owner that hire/fires creates jobs, services, products in the open market.
She “brags” about getting legislation that forces people to wear seatbelts and/or car seats against their will. It is quite sad that we have “normalized” this kind of gov’t intrusion into our personal lives, and then we laud and applaud the tyrants that made it happen. Bizarro world…!!!
In a truly free society you cannot commit a crime against yourself…yet she brags about creating laws that do that very thing.

Welch should be happy she has another career to fall back on. Most people that lose a job (elected or otherwise) aren't so lucky. Nurses make good money so she will be fine financially. Nobody should feel sorry for her since she lost the election because of her own actions.
