You mentioned that the fire chief wants to get someone on board full time w/o bennies since he has many part timers that he's not getting much out of. Uh huh. Right!! This is not altogether true and could be considered BS. The truth be told, the fire chief wants to bring in a family member who also works part time for another township. So once again, what appears to be a good move by the chief is a good move for someone in his family, and bad news for all the part time guys he is going to sacrifice to have more nepotism in this county. That is all we need, and it is another gross example of why we need to abolish all township governments. We can talk more later about this but perhaps this is something that you, as the press, should ask Mike about at your next meeting. |
