It could help if the teacher was in the right place at the right time and others were not in the way.But to use a firearm on another human is a very serious thing and takes the will to react.
Also invariably there would be a whacked out teacher shoot a student eventually.

A few well trained and armed guards would be a better choice. Bring back corporal punishment for misbehaving students, the Pledge of Allegiance, and prayer wouldn't hurt either. Not one of these suggestions would pose any harm. other than bruised prides and tanned arses. The guards would protect both children and staff. The corporal punishment, Pledge and prayer would teach respect, which currently there is little of. And finally, parents and children should be held more responsible for their actions. Both should be warned, say three strikes, then fined or jailed or community service, possibly a combination of all three depending on the infraction. These actions would best serve the community as a whole and be less likely to have teachers or staff losing control and hurting a undisciplined, disrespectful brat or the other way around. GOD BLESS AMERICA! That is all.
